The employability of higher education graduates of University South Bohemia in České Budějovice

The learn of co-workers at the University of South Bohemia was engaged in a project titled ,,The Placement of the South Bohemian University Graduates” in 1998. The project falls under the grant of the Fund of the Development of Higher Education Institutions no, 0426/1998. All graduates of the South Bohemian faculties have been surveyed for the period optima since the South Bohemian University's inception in 1992, up to 1997. The data were obtained through a questionnaire method and its analysis yielded an overall positive trend in the placement of the South Bohemian University graduates in the marketplace, as well a in evaluating the quality of their studies from the point of view of employment. From the point of view of the contemporary marketplace situation, it is possible to consider the results of the study as an important signal to the university's leadership and their faculties in determining the long-term decision-making processes regarding the content and the form of the studies.
