Coordination in Crowdsourced Software Development: A Systematic Mapping Study

Global Software Development (GSD) team members face barriers due to different location, time or culture that can directly influence the coordination of these distributed teams. As social problem solving approach to software development, Crowdsourcing is also facing coordination issues and these challenges must be overcome. For better understanding the issues, barriers and proposed solutions we conducted a systematic mapping. We identified 532 papers regarding coordination in crowdsourced software development, aiming to classify the most frequent features concerning crowdsourcing pillars and highlight the best practices to crowdsourcing coordination.
