Video control circuit applicable to multimedia

1993
PURPOSE: To make the video control circuit applicable to multimedia by receiving a digital video signal with a luminance - chrominance format, mixing the signal with other video signal and converting the format of the resulting signal into the CCIR 656 format. CONSTITUTION: A video flow decoder INP receives a video digital signal from an input 1 and stores it in a buffer memory. A multiplexer MX2 sends the digital video flow from the input 1 or generated in the control circuit to an output 5. A block VID receives video data based on in the Y, Cb, Cr format from an input signal 7 together with a control signal and gives them to an output 21 and the parallel characteristic of the signals is changed in a succeeding stage. Or the VID converts the format of the signals into the RGB format. A multiplexer MX1 is used to send data coming from a timing signal generator TIM or the block VID to an output 19. A conversion block OUT converts the format of data 21 into the CCIR 656 format 4.
