Ecology, a culture of relation

The encyclical Laudato si’ invites us to build a new culture based on an integral ecology. The foundation of this new culture resides in a reworked relational anthropology. This article offers an overview of this topic based on the three principles that structure the encyclical – everything is linked, everything is given, everything is fragile – as well as four rules presented in the exhortation Evangelii Gaudium. This new culture is marked by a new conception of the good life and by some emerging practices that are beginning to give this conception a more concrete form.
