The Application Value of Lactobacillus Complex Capsules in the Long-term Maintenance of Remission in Ulcerative Colitis

Objective : To investigate the long-term maintenance of compound lactobacillus capsules clinical remission with ulcerative colitis(UC). Methods : 65 patients who were in remission after treated from March 2008 to January 2013 were chosen. The patients were divided into treatment group(35 cases) and control group(30 cases).Patients were treated with oral compound lactobacillus capsules in the treatment group, and while patients in the control group were kept following up with their situation. They were observed changes in clinical symptoms integration.Results: DAT and Rachmilewitz endoscopic score between two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05) before and after 6 months ’ follow-up. However, there were significant differences after 12 months ’ follow-up between two groups. The relapse of treated group is lower than the control group(P <0.05). Conclusion : Compound lactobacillus capsules may play a useful role in maintain long-term remission of ulcerative colitis.
