The invention provides a device and method for cold-state separation of gas and solid in pulverized coal pyrolysis. The device comprises a raw gas condensing system, a gas purification system, a coal slurry-like matter preparation system and a hydrotreating system, wherein a gas outlet of the raw gas condensing system is connected with an inlet of the gas purification system, a condensable component outlet of the raw gas condensing system is connected with an oil tar inlet of the coal slurry-like slurry preparation system after being converged with an oil tar outlet of the gas purification system, and an outlet of the coal slurry-like preparation system is connected with a liquid inlet of the hydrotreating system; compared with the conventional high-temperature gas-solid online treatment technology adopted in pulverized coal pyrolysis, the device effectively solves the problem that powder coke and pyrolysis oil gas can difficultly separate in the pulverized coal pyrolysis; and oil tar separated out from the raw gas does not serve as the product to be directly discharged, the oil tar and condensable components comprising pulverized coal, coke powder, condensable oil tar and the like in the raw gas are prepared into coal slurry-like matters, and the coal-slurry-like matters are prepared into various oils through hydrotreating, thus the problem of high dust content in the oil tar is solved.
