Strategic Alignment in Supply Chain using RFID

Information Technology, as an infrastructure support has been recognized as a critical factor in the improvement of supply chain management (SCM). Based on a literature review on Strategic Alignment, RFiD (Radio frequency identification) and performance in the supply Chain, this paper presents the potential benefits of adopting the technology RFiD in a supply chain. We also question how far the conceptual framework of strategic alignment, extended to the inter-organizational level, helps to understand performance when implementing RFiD technology. This research has raised many topics for future investigation.
