Plan de negocio para la creación de una plataforma virtual de cajas de suscripción de productos femeninos en la ciudad de Quito

2018
“Apparently it is ungraceful of me to mention my period in public cause the actual biology of my body is too real”- Rupi Kaur. Since the beginning of the human existence, the subject related to the women’s menstrual cycle has been culturally considered taboo across different people and geographies, to such an extent that this natural fact has been adjudged as a reason for isolating women during their period. However, in recent years, innovative measures have been established that allow females to feel more comfortable about it during their menstrual period, in order to preserve women's health and to make this situation more socially acceptable. This is the reason why, in several countries, a method of buying feminine products through subscriptions has been developed. It has allowed women to receive a variety of necessary products during their menstrual period, in the place they want, on the exact date. With this idea, the main purpose of this project is to offer women an option for not to worry about having a daily routine, that might make it impossible to purchase these first need products and in which some cases may complicate their wellbeing. Based on this research, the "Just in Time" project was born, with the aim of becoming the first choice of Quito’s women whose health is a major priority and who are looking for options that can be adapted to their different lifestyles without menstruation being an obstacle for their many daily activities. The primary idea is to offer, through a virtual platform, the option to purchase monthly subscriptions in which they can receive essential products that they need to use during their periods without worrying about making purchases in retail stores. The general marketing strategy to be used is differentiation, due to the new purchase method that is offered and to the development of a market that has been unknown for Ecuador so far. The project is valued at $ 28,464.81, from which 70% will be financed with own capital and 30% through a bank loan.
