Excitation functions of (n, p) and (n, α) reactions on molybdenum isotopes
1990
Abstract Cross sections were measured for the reactions 92 Mo(n, α) 89 Zr, 92 Mo(n, p) 92m Nb, 92 Mo(n, np) 91m Nb, 95 Mo(n, p) 95g Nb, 95 Mo(n, p) 95m Nb, 96 Mo(n, p) 96 Nb, 98 Mo(n, α) 95 Zr and 100 Mo(n, α) 97 Zr. Use was made of the activation technique in combination with high-resolution γ-ray spectroscopy. The neutron fluence rates were determined using two independent methods, viz. proton recoil telescope and 27 Al(n, α) 24 Na monitor reaction. The present work concentrates on activation products with half-lives in the range of 0.7–70 days and provides excitation functions in the 12.5–19.6 MeV region.
