Data center simulation for the BM@N experiment of the NICA project

2021
One of the uppermost tasks in creating a computing system of the NICA complex is predictive modeling of centers for storing and processing data from experimental setups of the complex, in particular, the BM@N experiment, and simulated events of particle collision for comparison with the expected results of real processes of data storage and processing. To solve the effective simulation problem, a new approach was chosen. It is based on the representation of information processes as byte streams and the use of probability distributions of significant data acquisition processes. The article presents the current status of the developed program and the first results of modeling centers for processing and storing data from the BM@N experiment of the NICA complex under different scenarios for launching jobs for the next run scheduled for 2021.
