The invention provides a mobile terminal and a method for continuing a calling talk right thereof. The method includes the following steps: when the mobile terminal is in an idle state or a listening state, if a press-down signal of a push to talk (PTT) key is detected, obtaining the call talk right; when a press-down signal of a character key is detected, setting an alternative key of the PTT key to maintain the calling talk right according to the press-down signal and a preset rule; and when a loosening signal of the PTT key and a loosening signal of the alternative key are detected, releasing the calling talk right. According to the mobile terminal and the method, usage can be facilitated for users.
