Direct lattice imaging of the hexagonal ferrites

Abstract Electron microscopy and diffraction were used to analyse the structural aspects of hexagonal ferrites. A simple imaging code could be derived, enabling immediate recognition of the regular stacking sequences as well as stacking errors from the line patterns in the high resolution images.
