Психологические аспекты языкового тестирования

The paper is devoted to the problem of test validity and adequacy, which is considered to be of vital importance for the development of testing within Russian education. The retrospective analysis of the alliance of linguistics, didactics and psychology is shown to lead to the birth of a new branch of knowledge psycholingvodidactics. The experimental data on teachers' and students' psychological test results are given. The validity of some tasks in language skills testing iconed mechanically from psychological methods is questioned.
