The phase-boundary exchange and the non-steady-state diffusion of atomic hydrogen in Cu-Pd and Ag-Pd alloys. Part I. Analysis of the model

2014
Theoretical bases of an non-steady-state electrochemical technique for determination of kinetic characteristics of injection, extraction, and diffusion of atomic hydrogen in compact homogeneous binary palladium alloys are presented. The hydrogenation process is simulated under potentiostatic control conditions taking into account changes in the degree of surface coverage by atomic hydrogen. A qualitative evaluation of the role of irreversible hydrogen sorption in discharges is developed.
