Synthesis of yolk-shell structured CoSn-SnO2@N-doped carbon nanocubes for advanced pseudocapacitors

Abstract Yolk-shell structured catalysts offer a promising solution to achieve better performance in catalysis applications. The obtained yolk-shell nanocubes were made into cathode electrode of pesudocapacitor for performance evaluation. The results showed a high electrochemical capacitance of 41.9 mAh g−1 at 0.5 mA cm−2 and good rate capability of ca. 50% retention by increasing 4-fold current density.
