The RGS framework, drawing upon established theoretical models and frameworks including Gibbs Reflective Cycle, Pennebaker's Trauma Narration, and Locke and Latham’s Goal Setting Theory is described across a variety of learning contexts with managers and leaders from a range of industry sectors (i.e., finance, construction, automotive and healthcare). The results indicate that the majority of respondent’s report using a high degree of the key features of the RGS framework beyond the learning context where it was first presented and applied.
