THE THEORETICAL APPROACH OF FACE SEALS PRESSURE FOR HYDRODYNAMIC OPERATING MODEL

The power series approach is used to solve the Reynolds equation for hydrodynamic face seal lubrication. The angular misalignment of the stator and rotor is considered. Obtain- ing another set of partial differential equations, the Fourier series approaches the pres- sure components. Solving the particulars non-homogenous Euler-Cauchy equations, the analytical expression of hydrodynamic film pressure between the seal rings is computed.
