Transcriptome analysis of peach (Prunus persica) fruit skin and differential expression of related pigment genes

2019
Abstract To further study pigments in perennial fruit trees, we performed transcriptome analysis of peach fruit skin. The transcriptome analysis, results identified 3414 up-regulated genes and 3126 down-regulated genes. Genes involved in chlorophyll degradation, anthocyanin biosynthesis were significantly differentially expressed. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to validate the expression level of these genes. The fruit skin transcriptome analysis will aid future molecular research into pigments in peach fruit.
