Social work training within the voluntary sector

This paper looks at the provision of student placements in a voluntary setting in Tower Hamlets. The Practice teacher uses action research as a placement tool. This enables him to practice teach three students at any one time and ensures that the practice curriculum is met. The author puts forward the view that the benefits of this way of working accrue both to the students and the organisation.
