2010
pharmaceutical composition comprising an imidazoquinoline (amine) and lactic acid for use in the treatment of diseases of the bladder, wherein the imidazoquinoline (amine) in the pharmaceutical composition is selected from a compound defined by one of the following groups (a), ( b) and (c): a) 1H-imidazo [4,5-c] quinolin-4-amine; b) a compound imidazoquinoline (amine) selected from the following formula (I): ** ** Formula wherein R1, R2, and R3 are independently selected at each occurrence from hydrogen; cycloalkylalkyl three, four or five carbon atoms; straight or branched from one to ten carbon atoms and straight chain or branched substituted from one to ten carbon atoms, the substituent being selected from the group consisting of cycloalkyl containing three to six carbon atoms and cycloalkyl of three to six carbon atoms substituted with a linear or branched one to four carbon atoms; fluoro- or chloroalkyl of one to ten carbon atoms and one or more fluorine or chlorine atoms; linear or branched alkenyl two to ten carbon atoms and straight or branched alkenyl two to ten carbon atoms substituted wherein the substituent is selected from the group consisting of cycloalkyl containing three to six carbon atoms and cycloalkyl containing three to six carbon atoms substituted carbon linear or branched one to four carbon atoms; hydroxyalkyl of one to six carbon atoms; alkoxyalkyl where the alkoxy part has from one to four carbon atoms and the alkyl part has one to six carbon atoms; acyloxyalkyl wherein the acyloxy part is alkanoyloxy of two to four carbon atoms or benzoyloxy, and the alkyl part has one to six carbon atoms, with the proviso that any alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkenyl, substituted alkenyl, hydroxyalkyl alkoxyalkyl or acyloxyalkyl not have a fully substituted carbon atom directly bonded to the carbon nitrogen atom; benzyl; (Phenyl) ethyl; and phenyl; where the benzyl, (phenyl) ethyl or phenyl substituent being optionally substituted on the benzene ring with one or two groups independently from the group consisting selected alkyl of one to four carbon atoms, alkoxy of one to four carbon atoms and halogen, with the proviso that when the benzene ring is substituted by two such groups, then groups together contain no more than six carbon atoms.
