Design and Development of RF Energy Harvesting Loop Antenna

2020
Indian urban areas are encompassed by Radio Frequency (RF) signals and communicated by different remote systems. To improve the usage of wireless energy effectively, RF Energy Harvesting Systems is designed for the applications of sensor devices, battery chargers, and compact devices. The fundamental components of the RF power harvesting scheme are the antennas. High-Impedance Surfaces (HIS) have been widely examined in order to upgrade the field of the antenna. Exhibition of such meta-surfaces is the in-phase basis of an incident wave, which is based on a limited frequency dimension to assume as the Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC). The research proposes a loop antenna realized on an AMC for RF energy harvesting to operate at ISM frequency of 868MHz.
