Study of The Relationship Between Workplace Spirituality and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Physical Education Teachers in Tehran City

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between spirituality in the workplace and organizational citizenship behavior in physical education teachers in Tehran city, which has done a case study on physical education teachers. Materials and Methods: The present research is applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of research methodology is descriptive-correlation and in terms of collecting field data. The target population, have formed all PE teachers in Tehran. Their number is 1719 people, and the sample is 222. The instrument used for data collection was comprised of two questions, one about the spiritual dimension, which is a standardized questionnaire designed by myelin and colleagues. OCB questionnaire was designed using two measures of OCB, Padsakf and colleagues Nate Meyer et al. Questionnaires were distributed among 250 people. Then the validity of Questionnaire, underwent exploratory factor analysis, and then to be significant, was subjected to confirmatory factor analysis. And its reliability was determined using Cronbach's alpha (spiritual dimensions r=0.92, and organizational citizenship behavior r=0.89). Sampling was random. Descriptive statistical methods were used to calculate indices of central tendency and dispersion, inferential statistics used for the KS test to determine normality of data, data analysis and statistical inference study was used in the different analyzes. Results: In fact, research findings indicate that there was a significant relationship between spirituality in the workplace and organizational citizenship behavior in physical education teachers. Conclusion: The overall result showed that there was a relationship between measures of meaningful work, a sense of solidarity, alignment with values, and spiritual dimensions of organizational citizenship behavior. But conscientious index, no significant relationship with OCB (P<0.05).
