Refratariedade ao tratamento da Doença de Kawasaki com imunoglobulina endovenosa: uma análise retrospectiva

The objective of the study is to analyze the factors that influenced refractoriness in the treatment of Kawasaki disease with intravenous immunoglobulin in the pediatric rheumatology service of the Hospital of the Child of Brasilia Jose Alencar. The research is retrospective (case-control) and comparative (refractory x responsive). Epidemiological, clinical and laboratorial data were evaluated, being the only variable with statistical relevance (p = 0,006) the highest level of platelets in refractory, suggesting a higher risk of complications such as thrombus formation. The prediction of risk to refractoriness remains a challenge, requiring a targeted approach to the Brazilian population.
