Ensino de Matemática na Educação a Distância: Estado do Conhecimenta EaD em Foco nos últimos 10 anos

Distance Education (DE) has gained increasing prominence as a teaching modality in the Brazilian scenario. With that, it becomes relevant to unveil not only the pedagogical practices used in this teaching modality, but also to understand the research that revolves around them. In this sense this article presents a state of knowledge about the modality of distance learning and the teaching of mathematics in the articles and case studies published until December 2019 by the Scientific Journal on Distance Education: EaD EM FOCO, coordinated by the Cecierj Foundation / Cederj Consortium. For this, the article briefly presents the research methodology of the state of knowledge, highlighting its main characteristics and defining its search scope. We organized the ten selected works into categories and, as recommended by the literature, we held discussions based on their authors. We found that, although DE is not new in the Brazilian scenario, the production related to the teaching of mathematics at DE emerges in the journal surveyed only in the last five years. The researched works dealt with the different actors that are part of distance education, such as tutors / mediators, students, teachers, school managers and official documents. In addition, some productions investigated the design of a virtual learning environment, as well as reported experiences with specific subjects in mathematics as an introduction to real analysis and instrumentation for teaching geometry.
