Change of Aggressive Readiness in Post-Irradiation Generations of the Convict Cichlid Fish, Cichlasoma nigrofasciatum
1973
During evolution, changes in behavior patterns are thought to precede those of morphological traits (Wickler, 1961). Furthermore, it is generally accepted that most species-specific behavior patterns are inborn. Accordingly, mutations concerning behavior patterns attain special evolutionary significance because they produce new candidates for evolution.
