An Inequality Expression for the Maximum Harmonic Power Level in Non-uniform Period Time Modulated Linear Arrays

In this paper, an inequality expression to calculate the relative maximum harmonic power level with respect to the radiation maximum at the center frequency for non-uniform period time modulated linear arrays has been derived. In uniform period TMA (UTMA), in a particular sideband, the harmonic components from different time modulated elements are accumulated in space due to same modulation frequency of each antenna element. In contrast to UTMA, the harmonics generated from different time modulated elements in NTMA are spread in space because of different modulation frequencies for the different individual elements. Therefore, the sideband power calculation in UTMA is different from that in NTMA which is considered for the first time in this paper.
