Comprehensive nursing methods for perimenopausal women with psychological barriers

Objective: To eliminate perimenopausal women's psychological barriers and improve their quality of life by employing comprehensive nursing methods.Methods: By randomly selecting 98 patients treated in the perimenopausal outpatient in the year of 2008,who lived with some degree of psychological barriers such as depression and anxiety during the perimenopausal period,as the research object and randomly dividing them into observation group(52 cases) and control group(46 cases).The two groups were equally treated while comprehensive nursing intervention was added to the observation group.Both groups were evaluated by the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) before and after the intervention.One month later,the changes of moods in both groups were assessed.Results: The scores of SAS and SAD of two groups after intervention were lower than that of before intervention(P0.05,P0.01).After the observation group received the comprehensive nursing intervention,their scores of SAS and SAD were significantly lower than those of control group(P0.01).Conclusion: The comprehensive nursing methods can help reduce anxiety and depression,eliminate the psychological barriers and improve the quality of life.
