Photodarkening Suppressed Low Loss Yb:Al:P Doped Fiber by All Solution Doping Technique

We present an all solution doping technique to fabricate step index Yb-doped Aluminophosphosilicate fiber, with P2O5 powder used for incorporating Phosphorous. Low loss (8dB/Km), low NA (0.06) photodarkening suppressed step index fiber is reported.
