Advances in the etiology of hereditary corneal dystrophy

Corneal dystrophies have a relatively high morbidity among different kinds of inherited eye diseases.In recent years,significant advances have been made in the molecular genetics of corneal dystrophies.This article summarizes the current achievemant about the pathogenesis of the disease,with emphasis on the genes,mutant proteins,inactive enzymes activity and so on.
