O phármakon na saúde mental: uma relação ambígua

O presente artigo apresenta alguns resultados da tese de doutorado intitulada "Os sentidos da Cura em Saude Mental", que tinha dois propositos fundamentais: 1) a investigacao dos significados da cura psiquiatras, familiares e usuarios de um ambulatorio de saude mental; 2) a observacao de como se construia a direcao do tratamento, foi possivel perceber que a medicacao ocupava um lugar central, suplantando muitas vezes a relacao medico-paciente. No entanto, a relacao que os usuarios do servico estabeleciam com os farmacos estava marcada por uma intensa dubiedade que tentaremos retratar a seguir. The present article presents some results of the thesis: "The Directions of the Cure in Mental Health" that had two core objectives: 1) to took into the meanings of healings for psychiatrists, ooutpatients and their familiars in a mental health hospital; 2) to understand how the direction of the treatment was defined, the goals established and the therapeutics selected. With relation to the treatment it was possible to perceive that the medication occupied a central place, supplanting many times the relation doctor-patient. however, the relation that the users of the service established with the drugs was marked by an intense dubiousness that we intend to discuss.
