β-Site Amyloid precursor protein cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1) as a novel Alzheimer's Disease intervention target.

A novel peptide inhibitor for the enzyme BACE1 was identified and characterised to prevent the accumulation of neuritic plaques. The potential therapeutic treatment is aimed at repressing the onset of Alzheimer's disease.
