Rhodomyrtosones G and H, minor phloroglucinols from the leaves of Rhodomyrtus tomentosa

Abstract Two new phloroglucinols named rhodomyrtosones G (1) and H (2) were isolated from the crude hexane extract of the leaves of Rhodomyrtus tomentosa along with three known compounds, rhodomyrtone (3), tomentosone B (4) and rhodomyrtosone C (5). Structural determination was carried out using conventional 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data and by comparing previously reported literatures as well.
