Key technology and application for super-high speed grinding machining

Super-high grinding machining is a widely employed finishing process to achieve close tolerances and good dimensional accuracy as well as the surface integrity for different materials such as metals,ceramics,glass, rocks,etc. The latest development, current status and applications of super-high grinding machining technologies relating to the ultra-high speed cylindrical grinding, the high speed point-grinding and the high efficiency deep grinding are analyzed in this paper. The importance of developing the super-high grinding machining technologies is illustrated, which implicates the promising future of the super-high speed grinding machining.
