Use of adsorbed and covalently bound microbes in reactors

Immobilization of whole cells by adsorption and covalent bonding for use in fermentors is discussed. A method for adsorbing A. vinelandii onto ion-exchange resins is described. Covalent bonding of A. vinelandii and S. cerevisiae to cellulose gauze is also described. (DMC)
