Radical polyaddition of aromatic dithiols to 1,4‐diallenylbenzene. Synthesis of novel soluble conjugated polymer

Cationically crosslinkable polymers [C(Me)=CHPhCH=C(Me)S-R-S] n (R= Ph, PhSPh) are obtained by radical polyaddition of dithiols to 1,4-diallenylbenzene. The electrical conductivity of the undoped polymer (R= Ph) is 3,2x10 -7 S/cm but it increases up to 1,2x10 -2 S/cm when the polymer is iodine-doped
