Dielectric Hysteresis in Fe2TiO5 on Substitution of Titanium by Tin
2005
Fe2TiO5 exist in pseudobrookite phase and exhibits a thermal hysteresis loop. A new solid solution Fe2Ti(1−x)SnxO5x = 0.00, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.18, 0.2, 0.25 has been synthesized. The XRD studies indicate that the system exists in pseudobrookite phase. The XRD intensity analysis and FTIR spectral analysis has been used to determine the preference of lattice by tin. The relaxation spectra and thermal dependence of dielectric behavior of the system has been investigated. The presence of dielectric hysterisis loop superimposed on thermal hysterisis loop has been observed. On the basis of the investigation it has been concluded that the dielectric behavior of the system is complex combination of interfacial polarization and dipolar relaxation polarization.
