The selection of spark chamber tracks by computer methods

Abstract Four methods are described for the selection of straight, curved and intersecting spark-chamber tracks from background by computer program. A comparison of their speeds and efficiency is made as a result of performance on an IBM 7090 computer using sample configurations in a 20-gap spark chamber.
