A T-network design for wideband impedance matching of a resistively loaded vee dipole

2013
A design procedure of a T-network is proposed for a wideband impedance matching of a resistively loaded vee dipole (RVD) antenna. The RVD based on the Wu-King loading profile has a drawback of large reflected voltage at feed point because of its large negative reactance. To reduce the reflection, a T matching network with lumped elements is inserted between the feed line and the RVD. The procedure of determining the values of the elements are described, and the resulting effect on the voltage standing wave ratio is shown.
