Thermophysical parameters of cesium in the supercritical range

2012
On the base of previous experiments on the cesium heat capacity [1] and of the results obtained for the supercritical range, a computer model was developed maximally approached to the physical process taking place in the experiment performed. By means of iteration procedure, we succeeded in obtainment of the convergent solution of the thermal problem thus making it possible to estimate not only the heat conductivity but also the thermal conductivity of cesium, a, in the supercritical range. The a value obtained at T = 2300 K equals to (0.5 ± 0.3) × 10−6 m2/s.
