ADDITIONAL NOTES ON SENNA CRASSIRAMEA, S. RIGIDICAULIS, AND SEEDS OF SERIES APHYLLAE (CAESALPINIACEAE)

1986
The aphyllous species, Senna rigidicaulis (Bravo) Irwin & Bameby and S. crassiramea (Benth.) Irwin & Bameby, previously included in Cassia L. s. 1., are now treated as members of Senna Mill. in agreement with the recent and exhaustive monographic studies on Cassiinae by Irwin and Bameby (1981, 1982). The morphological analysis of these two species was still incomplete, as stated in previous papers (Bravo, 1978, 1982). During these last years it has been possible to study both of them in their natural habitats and collect them with mature fruits. Differences were confirmed and new data made possible this contribution.
