Комплексы антибиотиков-аминогликозидов с сополимерами акриламида с акриловой и с метакриловой кислотами

2010
The physicochemical and biological properties of polymer complexes of gentamicin, kanamycin and neomycin in the form of bases with low-molecular water-soluble copolymers of acrylamide (AA) with acrylic (A) and methacrylic (MA) acids containing 15 - 20 mol.% carboxyl groups have been studied for the purpose reducing the toxicity of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is established that the complexes of antibiotics with AA - MA copolymers are characterized by higher stability in aqueous and aqueous-salt solutions and exhibit a significantly lower cytotoxicity in vitro on the culture of fibroblast of the lung of human embryo than complexes based on AA - A copolymers. The complexes are also less toxic in comparison to the initial antibiotics. Polymer complexes studied retain a high level of the antibacterial activity inherent in antibiotics nonmodified by polymers.
