The 'Infection Prevention and Us' Expo

ISSUE: Hospital acquired infections (HAIs) are among the leading causes of preventable deaths in the United States and are associated with a substantial increase in health care costs yearly. Many HAIs are the result of poor infection prevention practices. Our facility recognizes the important roles each department plays in preventing infections because infection prevention is everyone’s responsibility. An “Infection Prevention Expo” was held for the purpose of showcasing hospital wide practices and highlighting collaboration.
