The invention discloses a dual-motor dual-clutch hybrid power system. The hybrid power system comprises an engine, a generator, a drive motor, a first clutch, a second clutch, a battery unit and a capacitor unit. The battery unit is connected with the generator, the capacitor unit is connected with the battery unit and the drive motor, and the engine, the first clutch, the generator, the second clutch and the drive motor are sequentially connected. When the drive motor brakes, brake energy is converted into electric energy, and the electric energy is stored in the capacitor unit. In the engaging process of the second clutch, the generator brakes, brake energy is converted into electric energy, and electric energy is stored in the battery unit. The invention further discloses a control method of the hybrid power system. The method includes the steps that the drive motor brakes, brake energy is converted into electric energy, and electric energy is stored in the capacitor unit; the generator brakes, brake energy is converted into electric energy, and electric energy is stored in the battery unit. The hybrid power system is high in reliability, and the advantages of a battery and the advantages of a capacitor can be effectively brought into play.
