Pyrene-Based Iminopyridine Ligand and its Metal Complexes for Nonlinear Optical Performance

The pyrene-based iminopyridine molecules which are known by their emissive properties are among the molecules characterized by their highest nonlinear optical properties. In this paper we will report on the nonlinear optical properties of the pyrene-based iminopyridine ligand and its metal complexes. For this scope, the Maker fringe technique was investigated. The third harmonic generation (THG) measurements in produced guest-host polymeric films are performed and the corresponding high third order susceptibilities are obtained. The influence of the position of metal complexation on NLO response was investigated.
