Study of space resolution of plastic streamer tubes

It is shown that plastic streamer tubes can be used to determine a particle coordinate with an accuracy of 500 ..mu..m by measuring the center of gravity of the charge induced on external electrodes and with an accuracy of 100-350 ..mu..m by measuring the drift time of electrons to the tube anode.
