The study focuses on the comparative analysis between the touristic behavioral patterns of Hallyu tourists who attended a special “Blue Carpet” hallyu event organized by KTO. The primary attribute selected by Hallyu tourists was seeing the quality and line-up of Hallyu celebrities at the event. This was followed by safety, transportation, food and accommodation all considered as important factors The purpose of study is for the enhancing the tourism economic impact by making sure that the key attributes of hallyu tourism remain sustainable. What was clear was that almost 100% of participants said they would return to future “Blue Carpet” events. We found out that “Blue Carpet” is a huge motivator for travel for Hallyu tourists visiting Korea. This study provides enough findings to implement both practical and academic solutions for the sustainability of Hallyu tourism for travelers.
