Breve epidemiología de los homicidios y encarcelamiento en México

This essay presents a picture of the situation of homicides and imprisonment in Mexico using one of the explanatory models of social medicine and collective health. It exposes information that gives us idea about categories such as social reproduction, surplus value, work process, ways of life, senses, meanings and practices and health care process. The essay is divided into three parts: the first explores the relationship between the growing criminal economy in Mexico and its link with prevailing ways of life; The second presents information on homicide deaths in our country, especially highlighting the important rise of these in the so-called war against narco: and the third presents an overview of the rise of imprisonment in Mexico and its characteristics.
