Reliability Research for the Low Cycle Fatigue Life of a Turbine Disk

Through the elastic-plastic finite element analysis of a turbine disk,the dangerous region causing failure was determined.Then the Mason-Coffin formula and Miner's theory of damage accumulation were applied to evaluate the low cycle fatigue(LCF) life of the turbine disk under the main cycle and sub-cycle loadings.Furthermore,considering the discrepancies in the design variables,reliability research was done for the LCF life on the basis of deterministic life calculations.The response surface method and Monte Carlo's method were used to calculate the LCF life reliability.At the same time,the key variables to the life were determined by the sensitive analysis.
