The impact of low Reynolds number on coefficient of probe at different-different angle of S-type pitot tube

2021
Abstract The S-type probe or Two holes offset probe is used to evaluate the fluid flow velocity like (dusty air, slurry or mud). When dusty air or mud flow through the L-type probe, the dusty air or slurry gets interrupted at 90° angle of static probe or L-type probe then due to this the static probe is chocked. Therefore, to keep away from this type of blockage. the S-type probe is used. In the present study S-type tube is manufactured at dissimilar angle to maintain the accurate value of coefficient. An experiment done in wind tunnel and to see the impact of different −2 angle of pitot tube on pitot coefficient. In the present study we observed, the coefficient curve values large fluctuate at lower range of velocity from 3 to 14 m/s then larger one. It can be seen that the less variation in pressure with increasing in angle of s type pitot tube.
