The Glauber model

2014
Mathjax On | Off Abstract In the 1950's Roy Jay Glauber used quantum mechanical techniques to solve the scattering problem for composite systems at high energy. Here the incident particle deviates little from its original path and the quantum mechanical scattering problem can be solved allowing for small angle approximations and certain novel assumptions. The Glauber model is a highly successful model of high-energy collisions.
